CAMERA OBSCURA – TAVIRA EYE

Since its official opening to the public on the 24th of June 2004, the Câmara Obscura has been an icon of Tavira along with the numerous monuments and historic spaces in the city. In fact, it turns out to be a paid attraction for Tavira’s most popular visitor. A remarkable feat of design and ingenuity. The Camera Obscura in Torre de Tavira offers a splendid and tremendous tour of the city of Tavira. A 360 degree panoramic tour of Tavira’s historical and cultural heritage. In each show-visit, up to 15 people can attend, accompanied by a guide who informs and explains the culture and history of this wonderful city. You will discover our history and experience it in a very different way: 30 meters above sea level, from inside the old water tank! Inside Camera Obscura you will see the city in real time; and will take a lively tour of the entire city and its surroundings. Each show lasts approximately 30 minutes.
